ABOUT ME

My name is Cristyn, the business owner of Allure Photography by Cristyn (hereby referred to as Allure PBC), it's a pleasure to meet you! I'm 22 years old and based in Ipswich, QLD.

Ever since I could remember I've loved photography. Growing up on film cameras, the most exciting trip used to be to the local news agency to have the film developed. I also can vividly recall taking photography classes when I was 7, for which my parents bought me my first digital camera. Since then, I've also studied Film & Television and Media Studies for 4 years in high school. My teachers mentored me, encouraged me to improve and grow in the field of photography & videography, and showed me how these skills could be utilised post-high school.

I first started Allure PBC as a hobby during quarantine in 2020 where I reignited my passion for photography and content creation. My love for photography stems from the fascination of seeing the beauty in everything; from the fine details to the big picture. I think the word ‘allure’ captures my passion for photography perfectly - to seek the powerfully and mysteriously attractive and/or fascinating details in life.

When I'm not taking photos, I'm a school teacher with a recently completed Bachelor of Education degree. I adore children and can't wait to see how I can speak into their lives as a mentor, the same way my teachers did to me.
